Demmex Turkish Greek 6 Pcs Coffee Set Review

This review focuses on the Demmex Turkish coffee set. This is a 6 pc coffee set, so don’t expect the full deck of accessories. Moreover, we think it’s more of a ‘beginner’ Turkish coffee set, which lacks some of the higher end features. 

That said, this set is also priced pretty competitively, so a couple missing articles aren’t nearly as big a deal as you might think. 

But enough banter, let’s get straight into the review. 

The Quality & Durability of the Demmex 6 Pcs Turkish Greek Coffee Set

Demmex have made some of our favorite Turkish coffee pots and sets in the past, so we had high hopes for this one. 

Suffice to say, it has that classic Demmex build quality which we have come to adore. The coffee pot is made of thick copper, which is highly resistant to bending, denting, deformation due to high heat, and the other usual suspects that ruin a coffee pot. 

As for the inner lining, it is non-reactive tin, and the porcelain cups do not exhibit chipping or cracking under high heat. 

Those cups are also dishwasher safe, making them easier to clean. Unfortunately, the same is not true for the rest of the set. 

Capacity

This coffee pot is rated for 8 fluid ounces, which gets you about 2-3 cups of coffee. That’s on the low end for a Turkish coffee pot, but not surprising, given the price of this set. 

It’ll serve a party of two just fine, but anything more than that, and you’re out of luck. 

Design

But like we said, this is more of a ‘beginner’ coffee set for the person just dipping their toe in the world of Turkish coffee. As such, Demmex chose to focus on the design and aesthetics instead of practicality. 

And in the design department, this set is unmatched. The pot, the saucer, and the holder all share a similar design, with unique traditional patterns painstakingly carved into them by hand. 

The heat-resistant handle lets you avoid getting burned. The integrated spout makes it a lot easier to pour coffee as well. 

The color options are also worth praising. There are two options: a subtle antique copper finish for the whole set, or a classic copper pot paired with silver accessories for a bit of contrast. 

Price

This set is admittedly not as well-stocked as others we’ve tested. However, the price is lower to match, so we can’t in good conscience complain about it. 

In fact, this is one of the cheaper coffee sets we’ve seen, so there’s not a lot of pressure on it to be amazing.

This seller has always been known to be quite active in Amazon, offering advice and information on anything and everything related to the coffee set. 

Additional Features

Demmex also include a wooden spoon with this coffee set. This is forward thinking on their part, as it lets you avoid scratching or otherwise damaging the inner lining of the pot with metal spoons.

Who is the Demmex 6 Pcs Turkish coffee pot set good for?

The lower price of this coffee set makes it a great gift for younger folks and children who are testing the waters when it comes to Turkish coffee sets. And if they decide they’re not into it, you won’t have spent too much money on getting the set!

There’s not a lot to say about the Demmex 6 pcs Turkish coffee set. It’s pretty well-built, but basic. It’s attractive, but inexpensive. And all of that is by design.
