Alpine Cuisine Electric Turkish Coffee Maker Pot Review

This electric coffee pot comes to us from Alpine Cuisine. They make high quality electric cookware, and are renowned for their use of high quality materials. 

As you’ll see from our review, we really liked this Turkish coffee pot. It offers quick brewing, and is capable of outputting a piping hot cup of coffee. 

But how does it fare in our demanding tests? Read on to find out. 

Quality & Durability

Kicking it off with the build quality, this electric coffee maker treats you to a heavy duty stainless steel build. This has a couple practical benefits. For one, the pot is pretty lightweight. But it’s also pretty durable and won’t get damaged by the occasional drop on the kitchen floor. 

Besides that, this stainless steel is certified food-grade, so you don’t have to worry about any toxins leaking into your coffee. 

And of course, stainless steel has that high end look that makes this pot look a lot more premium than the price might suggest!

As for cleaning it, this electric coffee maker isn’t dishwasher safe. So, you’ll have to make do with just cleaning it by hand. 

Capacity

Moving on to capacity, this electric Turkish coffee pot can brew about 3 cups of coffee at a time, making it a good option if you plan on entertaining larger parties. 

You might have to use smaller, traditional Turkish coffee cups, but that’s to be expected with pots of this type. 

Design

The real standout feature of this electric ibrik is the unique look. You get a brushed metal finish on the stainless steel, giving the whole pot a more ‘up market’ vibe. 

A foldable handle means you can fit this already compact pot into even smaller spaces. That’s ideal for storage and travel. Speaking of, the handle is made of plastic and doesn’t conduct heat all that well, so you don’t end up getting burned. 

Overall, we are fans of the design of this coffee pot. The integrated spout gives it that traditional cezve look, and also eliminates spillage when serving. 

One thing we aren’t happy about however, is the lack of a proper on/off switch. This would have made using the pot a lot easier. 

Instead of a traditional on/off switch, you have to rely on the cordless electric base to use this electric coffee maker. 

Price

If you’re on a budget, you’ll appreciate the bargain bin price of this electric coffee maker. Compared to other coffee pots we’ve tested, this one offers similar capacity and build quality, but at a significantly lower price.

We have to warn you not to use this coffee maker for boiling or heating milk. Milk has a tendency to stick to the bottom and leave a bit of residue that is hard to clean out. 

That said, you can boil water with this coffee pot, no problem.

Amazon gives this pot a respectable 4.3 stars out of 5. That is on the high end for these types of pots. Still, reviews complain about the lack of an on/off switch and dishwasher compatibility. 

Conversely, positive comments include appreciation for the lightweight build and compact design.
