LAVO HOME went all out when designing this electric Turkish coffee maker. We were impressed by the appealing look, and the high capacity meant everyone in the office was treated to a fresh brew. 

Besides the interesting design, this electric coffee maker also offers some features we haven’t seen any other player in this category offer.

The Quality & Durability of the LAVO HOME Glass Coffee Pot

We are used to seeing electric Turkish coffee pots made of stainless steel or plastic. Therefore, the glass and BPA-free plastic build of this coffee maker really stood out from the pack. 

Being BPA-free, it does not leak any chemicals or toxins into your coffee. It also means that there is no coloration of the flavor, i.e your traditional Turkish coffee tastes exactly how it should. 

When we heard that the actual pot is made of glass, we were hesitant at first. After all, glass is glass, and glass breaks. That said, we can report that this pot is highly resistant to damage and the glass does not crack or shatter when exposed to high heat. 

Speaking of, this coffee pot has some special features that prevent it from getting damaged. These include boil-dry protection, which prevents the pot from turning on when there is no water present, and overheating protection, which ensures no harm comes to the sensitive internal components. 

On the maintenance side of things, the cezve in this electric Turkish coffee pot can only be washed by hand. That’s pretty much par for the course with electric appliances like this though. 

Capacity

The capacity of this LAVO HOME coffee pot is at the high end, especially compared to other pots at this price point. It comes in at around 550 ml, which means it has enough volume for around 6 or 7 cups of coffee. 

That’s demitasse cups, not full-size US cups. But it still allows you to serve parties of 5-6 people with ease, so we can’t complain. 

Design

We are huge fans of LAVO HOME’s design language. This coffee pot sports a retro-modern aesthetic, with the traditional design of the handle, lid, and neck of the pot contrasting well with the modern-looking glass ibrik.

The glass is graduated, so you know exactly how much water you’re using for the brew. This is a nice feature that stainless steel pots can’t replicate. 

Even the choice of colors deserves praise. The matte black and bronze combo looks phenomenal, and evokes the designs of traditional Turkish coffee pots. 

The handle is not even foldable, much less detachable. That, paired with the large capacity of this cezve means that it isn’t the most portable thing in the world, but who cares when it looks this sexy!

An integrated spout makes it a lot easier to pour coffee, and the lid prevents any contaminants from getting into your coffee. 

Price

As electric Turkish coffee pots go, this one is definitely pricey. However, it justifies the price with the large capacity, boil-dry/overheating prevention, and an abundance of features that you just don’t get anywhere else. 

One of those features is the automatic keypad that allows for one-touch brewing. This pot also gives you the option to choose from 3 different temperature settings for the brew. 

That’s a feature we haven’t seen on any other coffee pot, so it makes sense that it would contribute to the price a bit. 

Other things you can use the LAVO HOME Electric Turkish Coffee Maker for

The unique design of this coffee pot opens up a world of possibilities. 

The 3 temperature levels are set at 45, 85, and 100 degrees, so if you have a recipe that calls for milk or water at exactly those temperatures, this pot could work well if you don’t have a food thermometer handy. 

The same is true for the graduated glass pot, which can be used to measure out just the right amount of liquid.

This coffee pot is a relatively new listing on Amazon, so the rating is understandably lower than others. 

Still, it manages to get an impressive 3.3 stars out of 5. Customer reviews mention being highly satisfied with their purchase, and the non conventional design gets a lot of praise.
