ETHNIQ Automatic Turkish Coffee Machine Review

This review focuses on ETHNIQ’s Automatic Turkish coffee machine. 

In a nutshell, this is one of the best machines we’ve ever reviewed, combining high-end features with a not so high-end price tag. 

Despite the budget-friendly price, brewing performance remains uncompromised. Moreover, this coffee machine manages to offer some features that we previously thought were reserved for machines starting at 2 times the price!

The Design of the ETHNIQ Turkish Coffee Machine:

ETHNIQ went with a simple, restrained aesthetic for this coffee machine. The budget-friendly price does mean you miss out on some high end materials. However, the BPA-free plastic keeps everything nice and lightweight. 

Combine that with the small proportions, and you’ve got the perfect home coffee machine that you can also take with you on your next camping trip.

You get two color options. A subtle black and gold combo that seems to have become the default in coffee machines as of late, and a more adventurous rose gold on white that stands out from the pack. 

Moving on to functionality, the Turkish coffee pot has a double spout design, with one on either side of the mouth. It may not seem like much, but the southpaws out there are sure to appreciate how easy this makes pouring. 

Capacity

Capacity is decent for a machine of this size. The machine can easily brew up to 4 cups a time, making it ideal for entertaining guests. 

And unlike some coffee machines that use smaller cups to achieve a higher ‘cup count’ for the capacity, this one is a bit more scrupulous with its report. We can confirm that this machine outputs 4 standard demitasse cups of coffee per brew cycle. 

Controls

You get simple, easy-to-navigate controls up front. There are only 3 buttons, which not only declutters the design of the ETHNIQ Turkish coffee maker, but also makes it so that there is less fuss every time you go to make a cup of coffee. 

Two of the buttons are presets for how much coffee you want to brew, You can choose between 1-2 and 3-4 cups of coffee. 

The last button controls the ember cooking function, which we talk about in more depth below. 

Brewing

It’s easy to dismiss inexpensive coffee machines by saying they probably don’t have the best brewing capabilities. However, that would be a major disservice in this case. 

We were surprised by how well the ETHNIQ coffee machine works for brewing. It churns out a splendid cup of traditional Turkish coffee that has just the right amount of flavor. The texture and taste profile rival coffee machines that cost two times as much.

You won’t have to wait around too long for your coffee either. This machine has one of the shortest brew times we’ve ever tested. 

Every cup is treated to a lusciously smooth layer of foam that looks even better than it tastes! Furthermore, you get Cooksense technology with this coffee machine.

This automatically detects when the perfect amount of foam has been dispensed, so you don’t have to do anything by hand. It also eliminates guesswork and ensures you get consistent quality and flavor across thousands of cups. 

And in a surprise twist, this machine also comes with ember cooking technology, another feature that is usually seen on much more expensive coffee machines. 

If you aren’t familiar, ember-cooking simulates coffee-making with sand or ember. It does so by slowing down the brew process (2-3 minutes) so that every ounce of flavor can be extracted. This is ideal for the person who prefers a stronger cup of coffee. 

Price

And now, the piece de resistance. This coffee machine undercuts basically every other unit we’ve tested with its price. It’s affordable, almost to a fault!

Customer Support

ETHNIQ also deserves praise for the comprehensive 2-year warranty they offer with this coffee machine. It is also easy to get it fixed or even replaced if you run into any problems. 

Additional Features

Rounding up the feature list, we have an overflow protection system that prevents spillage. To that end, this machine also has an auto-shut off function that uses sensors to turn the machine off when it detects that the pot is full. 

When the brewing process is completed, the machine will inform you via sound and light alerts. 

The included spoon for scooping out coffee and cup for measuring water are a nice touch. Other manufacturers, take note.
