Sudamlasibazaar – Medium Turkish Coffee Sand Machine Review

Today, we’ll be reviewing the Turkish coffee sand machine from Sudamlasibazaar. 

We’ve spoken highly of this manufacturer’s coffee machines in the past. But that doesn’t mean we went easy on this medium-sized offering. 

In fact, we scrutinized it even more to see how well it holds up. Aesthetically, this machine offers a traditional look, but it is backed up by modern materials and manufacturing. The larger pot capacity means this is a heavier machine, but you also get more coffee per brew cycle. 

But we’re getting ahead of ourselves. There are a lot more features to discuss; some good, and others not so. Keep reading for more of our thoughts. 

What’s In The Box?

So, what does Sudamlasibazaar offer alongside this sand coffee machine? 

Besides the machine itself, Sudamlasibazaar also include a US converter plug for North American electrical outlets, a well-made Turkish coffee pot, and also the actual sand needed for brewing. 

And that’s pretty much all you need!

The Design of the Sudamlasibazaar Turkish Coffee Sand Machine

If you’ve read our other reviews of Sudamlasibazaar products, you’ll know that we raved about the unique design. 

Thankfully, this machine continues that trend. This ‘medium’ size machine slots right into the middle of the lineup, but the larger size compared to the ‘small’ version gives the designers a bit more breathing room.

As such, the outer copper shell of this machine displays even more intricate carvings and traditional patterns. There are levels to the design, with the top part giving off a raw, almost unfinished copper look, and then the second bit exhibiting more deliberately carved patterns. 

The inner basin is made of stainless steel, which gives it better thermal conductivity for quicker, more uniform heating. A large knob on the side of the machine allows you to regulate the heat levels. 

And finally, the included US converter plug means North American buyers can use this machine without any issues. 

Capacity

Moving on to the capacity of this sand coffee machine, Sudamlasibazaar claim it can hold up to 6 copper coffee pots at a time. However, we found that there’s only really enough space for 4 at a time. 

Maybe they were just using really small coffee pots?

Still, 4 full size coffee pots means you can brew almost 15 demitasse cups worth of traditional Turkish coffee at a time, which is enough for even the largest of parties. 

Features of the Sand Coffee Maker

We hoped this machine would address the slow and time consuming brew process of other Sudamlasibazaar models. However, it still takes around 25 minutes to get the sand warm enough. 

But as with those other Turkish coffee sand machines, the coffee this one makes is worth the wait. 

You get even heating of all the pots, and we never felt that the coffee was lacking in flavor. We suspect the fine-grain sand included in the box is to thank for the even heating.

Amazon gives this Turkish coffee sand machine 3.8 stars out of 5. That’s a bit higher than the other machines in the lineup. 

The manufacturer continues to get praise for their swift responses and helpful customer service. Moreover, Sudamlasibazaar are just as active on the product page of this machine as the others we’ve tested, offering a ton of advice and information about the product.
